Interfraternity Council welcomes you to The Pack!

A Letter from the Executive Board

Future Wolfpack,

We hope that your summer prior to joining us here at North Carolina State is going well and that you are as excited for arriving at campus in August as we are to have each of you! Of course, you will be coming to Raleigh at some point over the summer for Orientation, and we’re looking forward to your visit.

We would like to encourage you all to spend some time at the Information Fair to learn about involvement opportunities on NC State’s campus from 12:15-12:55 on the first day of your Orientation session. This will take place in the Woodward Student Involvement Center on the 4th Floor of Talley Student Union.

Students who get involved early in their time in college are more likely to stay in school and be more successful. Interfraternity Council men, for example, are 3% more likely to graduate than unaffiliated men and over ⅓ are Dean’s List students. A sense of belonging and community is critical to collegiate success, and while we may be a bit biased about the value of the Fraternity experience, we recommend you stop by the Fair to see some of the opportunities to develop this sense of community at State.

Much of this information is available through the NC State Guides App, available in the Guidebook App found in your app store. Please feel free to access the IFC page for more information on our organizations.

Sincerely,

Interfraternity Executive Board

What is the Interfraternity Council (IFC)?

IFC is the governing body for our oldest men’s social organizations on campus. The executive board is elected by the IFC community to promote IFC’s values of live, lead, give, belong and achieve.

Regardless of the chapter, you may join, you are entering a brotherhood that bonds men of various backgrounds, beliefs, places, and eras around a set of values. While each fraternity has a distinct set of values, IFC unites the fraternity community around shared ideals and values.

Leading up to recruitment, you will receive a series of emails giving you additional information about our chapters, our council, and our community. We look forward to connecting with you once on campus!
